Balancing school, internships, and extracurriculars can feel like juggling, but I’ve found a way to make it all work, even when it gets hectic. It all started in high school when I joined DECA, a marketing club that sparked my passion for creativity and strategy. Fast forward to college, and I’m still learning how to manage my time between a full course load, internships, leadership roles, and being involved in my sorority.

One of the biggest challenges I faced was completing a summer internship while also taking an internship course. It wasn’t just the hands-on work at M9 Solutions that kept me busy—it was also the coursework that came with it! Balancing both at the same time taught me a lot about time management and how to stay organized under pressure. I used planners and task lists to keep everything on track and made sure to prioritize tasks so I could meet deadlines for both my internship projects and course assignments.

The internship at M9 Solutions gave me valuable real-world experience in business development and marketing, while the internship course gave me the opportunity to reflect on what I was learning and connect it back to my long-term career goals. It was definitely a challenge at times, but completing both allowed me to grow professionally and personally.

In addition to my internship, I stayed active in extracurriculars like AMA and Phi Sigma Sigma. These organizations gave me a chance to apply what I was learning in a more creative, hands-on way, whether it was designing merchandise or leading marketing projects. The combination of real-world experience and extracurricular involvement has been instrumental in helping me develop a well-rounded skill set.

Overall, balancing school, internships, and extracurriculars wasn’t always easy, but it pushed me to stay organized, think critically, and make the most of every opportunity. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that time management and a clear focus on your goals are key. The hard work pays off, and it’s all part of the bigger picture in building a successful marketing career.
